Special Session

Special Session organization is highly encouraged. The goal of special sessions is to provide a focused forum for discussions on emerging topics or innovative applications of established approaches that align with the overall theme of the conference. Multiple special sessions covering similar themes may be proposed and, if required, will be scheduled in different time slots during the conference.

Each special session should have a minimum of 8 registered and presented papers. A special session may have up to four organizers, and the organizers may designate a Session Chair and Co-Chair. The allocated presentation time for each paper is 15 minutes, including discussion.

Special Session organizers are responsible for publicizing the session and soliciting submissions. All papers submitted to special sessions will undergo the same double-blind peer review process and quality standards as regular conference submissions. Final acceptance and rejection decisions rest with the Program Chairs and the Technical Program Committee.

An honorarium of 10% of the total registration amount collected from the registered papers in a special session will be provided to the session organizer, subject to the successful conduct of the session. Please note that a minimum of 8 registered and presented papers (online or offline) is required for a special session to be conducted.

Special Session Proposal Submission

Special Session proposals should be submitted by email to the Conference Chairs at:

vu_conf@vupune.ac.in

Each proposal should include:

All proposals will be reviewed by the Conference Organizers and TPC Chairs, and the decision will be communicated to the organizers within one week of submission. Accepted special sessions will be listed under this tab along with the session title and organizer details.

Important Notes

I) Authors submitting papers to a Special Session must select the appropriate Special Session Track while submitting their manuscript through the Springer Nature METEOR submission system.

Each approved Special Session will have a designated track within the submission portal. Session organizers are requested to clearly communicate the correct track selection to prospective authors to avoid submission errors.

II) If fewer than eight (8) papers are received for a particular Special Session, the submitted papers will be treated as regular conference submissions and evaluated under the standard review process of the conference.
